Re: Re: Re: Vol. 85: Circus Maximus: the clown car of American politics

So, you'll be voting for Hillary, then? Well, enjoy the presumed years-long occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan, our covert ops in Somalia and Darfur and, by all means, please continue to enjoy the business-as-usual backing of despotic regimes around the world.

You seem to have entirely missed the point of this article. This was not an explicit endorsement of Kucinich per se and I find it troubling that that is not recognized.  Unfortunately, your knee-jerk reaction at the sight of "Kucinich" appears to have blinded you at that point.  Too bad you didn't read further because it would then have been plain to you that this was not about Kucinich being our saviour.  It is about us, the citizens, taking control of how this country is run.  Because we don't run it now.

This article is about how candidates — any candidates — who express dissent on the prevailing view of the Iraq war and other of our imperial misprisions that are contributing to the deaths of millions of people are routinely disparaged and marginalized.  This is generally true and has nothing to do with Kucinich or Paul or anyone else.  Such candidates are disparaged and marginalized so, precisely because big money media and the corporations that profit from our current condition want those conditions to continue.

Now, I'm not attacking your views on certain aspects of Kucinich's past voting record. But if being anti-choice at some point in the past is all that concerns you in this country right now, you need to step back and open up your fucking eyes.
